Are you thinking of selling? Here are the five things that you should do BEFORE
putting a for sale sign in your yard to maximize your profits!
Number 1: Contact a REALTOR. It’s so important to get advice from a
local market expert when thinking of selling your home. For example, having a
consultation with a potential seller really allows me to develop a customized plan for
each seller on the action steps that is needed to maximize the net profits when selling
based on your specific home and situation.
Number 2: Make necessary repairs and updates. Now I can recommend which repairs and
upgrades are worth doing before listing your home and which ones will not likely
contribute to a higher sales price.
Number 3: Declutter and de-personalize those rooms. Box up any items you can live without
until you move to your next home. I want this done so each room looks more spacious and clean. Also, be sure to remove personal photographs so the buyers can really visualize
themselves in that space.
Number 4: Repaint walls to neutralize tones. Now trendy paint tones might appeal to some, but
really having neutral tones will always appeal to a broader audience, and that’s critical
in getting the highest price for your home.
Number 5: Stage the Home. Staging can drastically increase the selling price, it also reduces
market time, it helps to fuel potential buyers’ emotional response to a home, and it is a crucial component to a listing strategy.
Well, there you have it, the five things you should do BEFORE putting a for sale sign
in your yard to maximize your profits! If you are thinking of selling, we would love to present you with a customized report of how we can get the most out of your home’s value.
