Did you know that the Dallas-Fort Worth region has added more than 1.2 million residents over the last decade? And according to a recent U.S. Census Bureau, estimates show Fort Worth is the second-fastest growing city in the nation! Hi there, Jenevieve Croall here with JLUX Homes Realty Group. Moving to Dallas-Fort Worth from out of state or even being a local buyer selecting a new area to move to, can be an overwhelming prospect! With DFW growing at such an incredible rate, especially in the northern Fort Worth suburbs, we thought it would be incredibly beneficial and FUN to give you the local expert tour of our favorite area we find our clients flocking to. I’m so excited to kick this off so let’s get to it, because today we are going to explore living in the thriving Town of Argyle, Texas.
Argyle combines the best of small-town life with the convenience of accessible city attractions. Located 30 minutes north of Downtown Fort Worth, many love living in Argyle because it is just far enough from the hustle and bustle of the city yet a short distance from top-notch shopping, dining and entertainment in Denton, Highland Village, Flower Mound, Roanoke and even Southlake, which are all less than 20 minutes.
Many of our clients love the idea of building a new home. If you are of like mind, Argyle is definitely an area you will want to consider. With over 2 dozen builders to choose from, with price points from the upper 300s to 900s, there are dozens of model homes to tour and lots and floor plans to choose from.
With some much new constructions in the Argyle Area, the main draw for many buyers is the amenity rich new master planned communities which feature amenities like resort-style community pools, on-site coffee houses and fitness centers, dog parks, splash pads, playgrounds and hiking trails. Many of these new master planned communities, like Harvest and Canyon Falls also have full time event coordinators who specialize in creating fun family friendly events for the whole family. From Bringing Food Trucks to you, Movie Night on the Lawn, Wine & Whiskey Tastings and Full Fledged Festivals.
Schools are another big draw for Argyle Residents. Currently ranked at #14 in all of DFW and ranked #1 for Denton County, Argyle ISD is preparing for a lot of changes in the next few years in attempts to address growth caused by new housing developments. In fact, recently Argyle ISD broke ground for its newest, 16-acre campus that is set to open for the 2022-23 school year in Canyon Falls. This will be Argyle’s 6th campus.
Argyle is very affordable compared to many other areas in the metroplex. This is because of the low Denton County Property Tax Rate, bringing most homeowners property taxes to the low 2%. Also, with an abundance of choices between new construction and pre-own homes, buyers have more buying power and selection than more already established areas.
